Mr. William Dasher "Bill" High, Sr., 72, of Fayetteville, passed away November 20, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Columbus County he was the son of the late Robert and Helen Dasher High. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Serena Morgan High. Mr. High was a member of Southview Baptist Church. Before retiring, he worked as a Loan Officer at Wachovia Bank and was a Branch Manager for First Citizens Bank in Hope Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patty; son, William"Billy" Dasher High Jr., and wife Karen of Winston Salem, with their daughters, Baylor, Chesson, Avery and Mary Dasher High; son, Keir High and wife Tabatha of Lowell, with their children, Isaac, Mallory, Elena and Mario High; daughter, Salli High Tomlinson and husband Pitt of Durham, with their daughters, Mercy Rose and Lily Grace Tomlinson; son, Andy High and Crissy Champi, of Chester, NJ; son, Mark High and wife Brooke of Fayettevile, and their son, Gray High; daughter, Becky High Simmons and husband Travis of Kernersville and their sons, Bladen and Jaxon Simmons; a sister, Sarah Helen Clagett of Aquasco, MD, and brothers, Bob High and wife Charlene of Whiteville and Walter High of Rockingham.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2015 at Southview Baptist Church in Hope Mills followed with a 3:00 pm, graveside service, at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Hwy. 41, Wallace, NC. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM, Sunday at Southview Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made supporting an existing legacy honoring his predeceased granddaughter, Serena Morgan High, to Southview Baptist Church, 4089 Elk Road, Hope Mills, NC, 28348.
