Born December 2, 1937, Winne Alfred Welch, of Hope Mills, NC, formerly from Livingston Manor, NY, died Saturday, January 22, 2022 after a brief illness.
Winnie was a truckdriver for most of his working career for Liberty Middletown Express where he worked for 30 years and then was a driver for Ultra Power gas company for 14 years up until he retired. He loved to travel, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Henry and Violet Welch; a sister, Henrietta Kleingardner; a daughter, Wendy Irwin; and a son in law, Donald Corbett.
He is survived by the love of his life wife, Emma Welch of Hope Mills, NC; a sister, Edith Mills of Livingston Manor, NY; a son, Brian Welch and his wife Teri, A daughter Julie Corbett of SC; a stepson, Mark and Patty Zeininger of CT; a stepdaughter, Cheryl and Mike DeFreitas of NC; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
You had a personality that was larger than life, with a sense of humor that was infectious. Your visits were always full of laughter and love. You made everyone feel loved and welcome. You will be greatly missed by those that had the pleasure of meeting him. With Love, Your Family
